Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health and Developmental Services

Jodi McSwegan, Intervention Services provides Early Intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays. She has 12 years of experience providing services. Using the coaching method and teaching families strategies, caregivers are assisted in developing their child’s skills in receptive and expressive communication, using appropriate behaviors, and navigating their home and community. With demonstration and caregiver practice, children from birth-3 years are instructed through play therapy, role play and modeling. In this way, the program looks at the whole child to develop cognitive, social emotional, communication, fine and gross motor skills through collaboration and parent empowerment in a family based model.
