Mental Health

Carbon Monroe Pike Mental Health and Developmental Services coordinates services and supports for individuals with mental illnesses. One of our main priorities is to assist individuals who are un-insured or under-insured with accessing mental health resources and services.  We also provide case management; information and referral; support and linkage; community education and service coordination for individuals.

CMP caseworkers work closely with individuals to help them access the services they need in their communities. In addition to case management our other programs include Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP) Coordination, Behavioral Health Housing Coordination and Community Hospital Integration Projects (CHIPP).

Our CIT Training program provides training to law enforcement for crisis intervention. Research has proven that the CIT Training reduces arrest and improves the safety and satisfaction of all involved. Our Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP) works with families to make sure that a child receives any necessary services in a coordinated and comprehensive way in the least restrictive setting. CMP's Behavioral Health Housing coordinator advocates for housing needs for individuals with mental illness in the counties we serve. Our community Hospital Integration Projects (CHIPP) work closely with the state mental hospitals to help to monitor programs to help discharged individuals.
